I started scrambling for some audio and I snatched up "Blood Bath at Burger King", a tight punk song about hating your job and getting revenge for all the bad days you have there.

Packed full of pop-punk promises with all whoa ohs and a three chord arsenal, it doesn't surprise me that is a must have. It has become my soundtrack to my summer so far.

Each song brings out the feelings infatuation, annoyance, good times, minor drugs use, a drinking session, and letting you know to watch out for that guy.

Believe me this a total midwest sound packed like five pounds of shit in a one pound bag. It a grab.

You damn kids with your CD burners

I just got done watching High Fidelity. I am not going to talk about the movie. I'm pretty sure you have your top five reasons for viewing it over and over.

I am going to write about how making a compilation is allot harder now compared to in the movie. Well the first thing is, making a mixed tape with a cassette and a CD is more hands on. You are dealing with everything directly. I remember the days when I did it, mostly for girls I had crushes on. I can remember the fun it was creating this great piece of art in a plastic filled with ribbon. One tape was made with a bunch U ballads, hoping Bono made her pussy wet. All I had to do was put in a CD and sit there babysitting the cassette to make sure it did not run out.
1. Put the CD in
2. Put the blank tape in
3. Play blank tape for about 30 sec. so the beginning of the song does not get cut out.
4. Record
5. Babysat
6. Done with song 1
7. Repeat steps 1-6

Thank god there was enough tape and enough music to tell the person what was going inside my head at the time.

Well now we have a problem. What does it take to make a CD?
1. Have some sort of shareware program
2. Finding the songs to download, if your lucky
3. Or a stack of CD's
4. Then putting the CD in the drive, waiting for all the songs to load
5. Getting confused on what number the song you want to add to your list because it reads Track08
6. Going back to the CD track, then, maybe, knocking the stack over reaching for the one you need.
7. Taking the CD out
8. Putting a new CD in
9. Repeat steps 1-8
10. This might happen once in awhile. Then when you think your done, you find you have more room, what else is there to say
11.play the CD back to yourself...Noticing the shitty quality, if you used MPH.
12.getting to the end you find out the last song is cut short due whatever the technical jargon is for that.

For further in depth shit that I didn't feel like getting into here is a nice little PDF file for ya.
http://www.phantasmicstudio.com/downloads/mixtape.pdf

man what a waste. I am going back to tapes. I need a new hobby anyway.
So who wants one?

Its starts here

I have been reading allot of blogs as of late. Album reviews, new discoveries, history lessons, shows I have attended and notes on my own music endeavors.

I will try my best to keep this as entertaining as I can.
